Remember that time when the streets of the neighborhood were empty in the evening and the whole family used to shrink in front of the TV? That evergreen serial 'Nukkad' of Doordarshan was not just a show, but a part of all of our lives. How beautifully Kundan Shah and Saeed Mirza had landed the world of a small nook in our drawing room. There is that Rub of the Guru, who guided everyone, and that poor skull who always said the realest things even when drunk, is still close to the heart. That small corner of Kadar Bhai's hotel tea and Kaththai colored clothes still swims before the eyes. Characters like Ghashitaram, Dukhia and Hari taught us how to maintain a smile despite being in scarcity. The daily wonders of middle class families, small joys and that unmatched brotherhood for each other is no longer seen on TV. To be honest, the simplicity of the nook and the affinity of the characters is remembered a lot in today's glittering era. It was not just a serial, but a way of living simplicity that reminded us of humanity. đēđ #childhood

On 1st April 1954, an educational institution was born in 16 Mandeville Garden. Sri Satikanta Guha established South Point School. The beginning was humble and as the years passed its achievements reached immeasurable heights.
