It is December 2001. You just turned on your PC and that calm startup sound of Windows XP fills the room. The screen glows softly in a cold winter night. Outside it is quiet, maybe a little fog, and inside you are sitting close to the monitor like it is your whole world.
The desktop loads with that green hill wallpaper. You open My Computer slowly, like there is no rush in life. Games are simple, maybe some old CD or a small setup file shared by a friend. No updates, no stress, just pure excitement.
Internet is dial up. That strange connecting sound feels like magic. You wait patiently because every minute online matters. Maybe you open Yahoo Messenger, maybe just browse something random, but it feels special.
A cup of chai is next to you, hands slightly cold, heart completely warm. Life is slow, simple, and full of small happiness. That was not just a computer era, it was a whole peaceful lifestyle. #childhood
